Learning outcomes

The Program is organized so as to produce skilled scientific personnel for research, education, public service and private sector, with a direct and indirect positive impact on agricultural research in Greece, that will contribute to the development of new technology and will provide support to agronomists and other scientists that are involved in the agricultural sector, and in particular in the fields of Water Resources Management, Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering, promoting the social and economic development framework of Greece. The program also aims  to produce and disseminate knowledge, technical expertise, methods, tools and research results in the scientific field of agricultural research.

The graduates of the GSP acquire the necessary skills to: 1) apply knowledge in practice, 2) search, process, analyze and synthesize data and information using the necessary technologies, 3) adapt to novel situations and decisions taking, 4) work independently or in groups in national, international or interdisciplinary contexts, 5) generate new research ideas and design and manage projects, 6) demonstrate social, professional and moral responsibility and sensitivity to the environment, 7) reflect on themselves and on others critically, 8) promote free, inductive and deductive thinking, 9) conduct scientific research independently or as members of research teams, in simulation or data analysis or implementation of laboratory approaches and field research, in subjects related to the management of soil, water, and energy resources in agriculture.
